WHAT IS THE VERB TO BE ?

(QUÉ ES EL VERBO TO BE?)

El verbo to be es el verbo más fundamental e importante del inglés equivalente a ser o estar  en español. Es un verbo irregular que cambia su forma (am, is, are, was, were) según el sujeto y el tiempo verbal (presente o pasado), y funciona tanto como verbo principal como auxiliar.

 IT IS USED FOR    ( Se usa para)  :

• identity -Identidad → I am Maria.

• professión- Profesión → She is a teacher.

• nationality- Nacionalidad → They are Mexican.

• ages- Edad → I am 15 years old.

• states or emotions- Estados/emociones → He is happy.

• location -Ubicación → We are at school.
