Yesterday
I got up a bit
late.
I didn’t have a plan for the day.
So I had a shower, drank a cup of coffee, and then decided to go out.
I was just putting on my shoes when I got a text from my friend Robert.
He said he was going to the park to work out, and invited me
to come
along.
I didn’t really feel like working out, but I decided to go anyway.
So I took off my shoes,
put on my
sweatpants, and then put on some old
running shoes.
I decided to run to the park, to warm up. It took me about 10 minutes to get there.
By the time I
arrived and found Robert, I was very hot and sweaty. (I hate running.)
We worked out for about an hour. We did pushups, pullups and more.
By the time we were done, I was feeling very tired, but happy.
As I was walking
back home I heard a voice calling my name.
It was Sonia, from my Spanish class. I study Spanish twice a week in a language school.
“Hi Sonia”, I said. “I wasn’t expecting to run into you
here.”
“Actually, I live right around the corner”, she said. “Do you
live nearby?”
“Yeah”, I said. “I just moved into a new place. Nice neighborhood,
isn’t it?”
“Yeah, it’s great.” She smiled.
“Well, I just finished a hard workout”, I said, “and I’m going to have a coffee
before I go home. Would you like to join me?”
“Sure!” she said. “I just want to drop this bag off at my place.
Come with me!”
